Job Purpose:
Welcome to a position where your strategic acumen and creative finesse converge to shape impactful brand narratives that resonate in the competitive business landscape. As a Video Producer and Storyteller, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing and directing the entire lifecycle of video production, from conceptualization through execution. Positioned at the forefront of creative direction, scriptwriting, budget management, and logistical coordination, your responsibilities include fostering seamless communication within the team and adhering to stringent deadlines. Tasked with spearheading nonfiction social impact video production for purpose-driven brands of various sizes, you will leverage your expertise to craft compelling short and long-form documentary-style videos. Your purview extends to casting authentic, real people, collaborating with diverse clients and team members, and meticulous alignment of video content with overarching business objectives. Ultimately, your role serves as the driving force behind the creation of impactful storytelling videos, contributing significantly to the success of social impact initiatives and overarching marketing campaigns for clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Pre-Production:
â— Collaborate with internal team members and clients to determine the purpose and story behind the video project.
â— Provide research-driven insights to support compelling and engaging storylines for video projects.
â— Collaborate on brainstorming sessions and contribute strategic insights.
â— Develop creative, authentic storytelling projects and comprehensive production plans.
â— Create project plans, including tasks, timelines, and detailed schedules.
â— Maintain project timelines for efficient task management.
â— Schedule and organize pre-interviews, interviews, and pre-production meetings.
â— Identify and secure or coordinate locations for shoots.
â— Select and hire additional crew and talent.
Scriptwriting and Creative Direction:
â— Play a leadership role in coordinating and managing various aspects of the video production process.
â— Assist the Creative Director in scriptwriting and approval.
â— Collaborate with editors from pre-production to delivery.
â— Script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, and set deadlines.
Production:
â— Hands-on involvement, overseeing both key and day-to-day tasks.
â— Provide on-site direction to the team during video production.
â— Work with videographers to gather video assets.
â— Guide and manage the contracted video production team.
â— Oversee the production of digital media, including videos, podcasts, and digital programming/events.
â— Conduct real time logging during video production, including takes, B-roll and any note-worthy on-set occurrences.
â— Produce, script, act as project manager, and publish video content for web, social media, and email.
â— Manage digital events and programming.
Post-Production:
â— Communicate and coordinate with various team members during postproduction.
â— Collaborate with editors on edits, graphics, and animations.
â— Keep team members and clients informed of project progress and proactively address any challenges that may arise.
â— Work closely with editors to implement client feedback and revisions.
â— Oversee the completion and delivery of finalized video content to clients.
â— Conduct research to find relevant images, graphics, and visual assets from sources like Getty Images to enhance video content.
â— Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and manage the licensing process for acquired visual assets.
â— Organize project files, including raw footage, final videos, and drafts.
Multimedia Content Development:
â— Develop multimedia content for various purposes.
â— Analyze performance data and create incremental video optimizations.
â— Manage digital events, programming, and online content creation.
â— Coordinate with internal team members, outside talent, and contractors to create online video, audio, and other digital content.
Innovation and Collaboration:
â— Stay updated on the latest trends in video production.
â— Ideate and test new initiatives to expand the company's video production proficiencies.
â— Work with the Creative Director and contracted video production team to establish and work within a digital production operating budget.
Financial and Budget Management:
â— Work closely with the Creative Director to develop budget plans for nonfiction style video productions.
â— Establish, manage, and allocate budgets for various aspects of video production, including equipment, crew, and post-production expenses.
â— Track and manage project expenses, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.
â— Negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
â— Provide financial updates and reports to relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Education/Training
â— High School graduate or equivalent ____preferred X required
â— At least 2-year college (associate) degree ____preferred __X_ required
â— Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Film, Media studies or related field X preferred _____required
Experience:
â— Minimum 5 years professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in video writing/production in television, radio, film, sound production or new media.
â— Experience in content creation, marketing, audio/visual media, live events, arts, or a similar field.
â— Hands-on experience with computer software related to graphic design, web design, video editing, and audio editing such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Canva.
â— Working knowledge of web-based digital content delivery platforms, including but not limited to WordPress, Zapier, Canva, Flodesk.
â— Experience in the following software applications Airtable, Slack, Zoom, GSuite.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

â— Adept at handling cameras, lighting, microphones, and other equipment, with a comprehensive understanding of scene composition.
â— Proficient in using Google sheets (Airtable) and Google documents for project management and documentation.
â— Combines creativity and patience to craft unique and engaging stories, recognizing the importance of both attributes in collaborative environments.
â— Effective time management and problem-solving skills, enabling the ability to make quick, quality decisions.

â— Bi-lingual English/Spanish is desired but not mandatory.

â— Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
