Video Producer (Project Manager) - Animus Studios
Riverside, RI
About the Job
We're looking for an experienced producer who loves making corporate accounts happy and flexing their creative muscles with our production team. Sound like you? Awesome. Read on.
The word "producer" is thrown around a lot in the world of video and film. And... it has lots of meanings. As a smaller video agency, we're looking for a producer who can wear many hats, but feels most comfortable orchestrating the needs of a client, handling schedules, mapping budgets, and ensuring our production team has the details to nail the project.
So if you don't necessarily have tons of experience on big production sets, but you are crazy organized, know how to make clients feel great, view spreadsheets as a party, and love working with creative teams — this could be the perfect fit.
We're looking for someone with experience with corporate accounts (sounds boring, but it isn't). Someone who can understand the needs of a client, turn them into a detailed creative brief and organize everything to get our team fired up.
Animus Studios is looking for an organized and experienced producer with a passion for video and a love of project management. You're the glue and the linchpin connecting our team to the details and a client to awesome video. We're looking for someone we can trust and who takes pride in their work.
We are seeking a full-time candidate and are offering salary and benefits, including healthcare and retirement. This opportunity enables you to work remotely, ideally in a hybrid model with some weekly time in-studio and, occasionally, on-location time will be required.
A Little More About the Role
- Track and schedule multiple video projects through all stages of production to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with the creative vision.
- Forecast resources and identify project, timeline, scheduling and provide recommendations for problem resolution in a timely manner.
- Experience with both live action scripted and documentary style filming as well as motion design/animation workflows.
- Schedule and lead meetings with our team, freelancers, and clients.
- Follow-up on and track the progress of each project, ensuring key milestones are met in order to keep projects moving within the timeline.
- Delegate production-related tasks to appropriate members of the team.
- Help to tighten the creative brief and relay information to our team.
- Comfortable being part of creative conversations with clients about their goals.
- Passion for business-oriented accounts is helpful as many of your projects will be in the healthcare, technology, and financial services industries.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a producer, project manager, or account manager.
- At least 2 years of general video production or related creative experience.
- Understanding of various types of videos and production workflow is required.
- Agency or video agency experience is a plus.
- Must exhibit high-functioning communication skills, high energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude and poise; be articulate and confident.
- This is a full-time position and, while we have a studio near Providence, Rhode Island.
- A proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic, who understands the details within a larger context.
- Experience with client interaction and engagement in a professional setting.
