Reporting to the Prudential Chief Architect and PGIM’s Chief Information & Technology Officer, the PGIM Architect is a key thought leader helping to set the direction for the PGIM affiliates in alignment with Global Technology’s vision, strategy, and target state architecture.
A primary responsibility of this role will be to evangelize strategic direction and develop roadmaps to ensure PGIM alignment with overall target state vision.
This individual should have deep knowledge of Information Technology and Enterprise Architecture and experience in native Cloud hosting with particular focus on AWS and Azure services.
This role is a member of Global Technology’s Architecture leadership team, will collaborate across architecture domains (Solution, Data, Infrastructure, Security) and should have strong skills to educate and influence many partners.Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical DayIn partnership with Global Technology’s Architecture leadership team and PGIM’s Chief Information & Technology Officer, design, implement and maintain enterprise vision and target state architecture in alignment with architecture strategy.Key thought leader, collaborator, and contributor, partnering across teams to help influence and drive adoption of Architecture Patterns, Reference Architecture and processes across PGIM affiliates to ensure alignment with other Architecture domains (ie Solution, Data, Infrastructure, Security Architecture) and with Prudential’s go-forward vision and strategy.Ensure new initiatives and related projects are aligned to organization-wide target state architecture, including review and approval of key design documents.Provide solution architecture consultation and support for initiatives and product teams; educate business and technology communities across all levels of the organization on vision, strategy, and target state architecture, including patterns, standards, trends, opportunities, and challenges.Apply Application Portfolio Management practices; identify opportunities for modernization and rationalization for our PGIM application portfolio.Demonstrate a talent mindset by evangelizing architecture transformation, influencing adoption of the transformation, and driving modernization goals across the enterprise.Apply expertise in current /modern patterns and practices, across domain areas.Study the market and industry to proactively identify tech-forward opportunities to solve complex new business and technology challenges and take advantage of the new opportunities that come with technology innovation.The Skills & Expertise You BringBachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
At least 10+ years of technology, architecture, and leadership experience.Foundational Technical & Conceptual Acumen:Strong technical knowledge of data and application development capabilities, while also having the ability to create and execute upon a clear enterprise strategic vision for target state architecture that supports all PGIM affiliates and functions.Transformation and modernization of legacy applications into a platform and services architectureExtensive experience in planning, building and delivering large scale, transformational technology infrastructure and cloud initiatives in AWS and Azure, with direct accountabilities for architecture.Deep knowledge of business processes and business and technical capabilities, preferably in financial services and asset management industry.Knowledge of agile methodology and practicesModern Architecture Thought Leadership: Strong knowledge of EA and Solution Architecture frameworks and best practice with awareness of current trends for new architectural patterns and concepts and the ability to apply those patterns and trends to help achieve business-focused transformation outcomes.Influencing, Building Relationships & Communication Skills:Objective, diplomatic team player with excellent collaboration, networking, and influencing skills, as well as credibility and commitment to building trust and developing relationships.Ability to clearly communicate the vision and target state and influence the adoption of enterprise architecture principles, patterns, reference architecture and standards to demonstrate progress on technology maturity.Prioritization Skills: Accustomed to managing multiple efforts across different areas.

The salary range for this role is from $195,100.00 to $263,900.00.
Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and leave of absences, such as parental and military leave. 401(k) plan with company match (up to 4%). Company-funded pension plan. Wellness Programsincluding up to $1,600 a year for reimbursement of items purchased to support personal wellbeing needs.
