Directs team to use various data sources to screen for companies that fit particular industry and financial profiles (industry, products and services offered, business model, investors, amount of money raised to date, etc.) as well as reviewing the portfolios of selected investors in order to help them assess and identify such companies. Oversees the creation of relevant and meaningful content and presentation materials for the prospective client. Distills team�s complex numerical and strategic analyses into Executive Summary reports. Leads the idea �origination� or generation phase, in conceiving solutions and outcomes for the client or potential client and what strategic analysis and research his team must conduct in order to support such solutions or outcomes.
Provides assessment on what the client�s needs are (which varies significantly from project to project) and derives conclusions that will drive the direction of all subsequent workflows. Determines which financial analysis is required, and how best to construct and perform the required analysis. Ensures that the client fully understands the gravity of the information as it pertains to the situation at hand as well as the various factors that led to this analysis.
Responsible for the generation and maintenance of new Board and C-level client relationships. Identifies key companies and individuals that are important for the firm to build long-term relationships with and identifies the most appropriate method of introduction. Manages client relations. During client assignments, engages the client in meetings and reaches out individually, often on a daily basis to senior staff within the client�s organization to discuss the progression of the assignment and provides updates as necessary. Manages client communication and decisions of the team during due diligence processes (business, financial, and technical) that relate to the execution of engagements. Advises clients as to what diligence information is appropriate and relevant to share. Trains team members on proper diligence management. Manages the confidential communications between clients and their counterparties at high level transaction negotiations, ensuring the proper sharing of confidential information.
Must have a Bachelor�s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in the position offered, or as an Associate, Analyst, or a related position. Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience must include experience with each of the following:
1. Reviewing and performing valuation, financial and economic analyses based on GDP, inflation, interest rates, capital flows, projected financial results and other economic and financial indicators, including discounted cash flow, comparable companies, sum-of-the-parts, leveraged buy-out, cost of capital analyses;
2. Supporting the development and building of a portfolio of trusted advisor relationships with senior management, investors and Boards at technology companies;
3. Reviewing and conducting research and creating models to interpret economic, statistical and industry trends;
4. Exercising extensive project management and analytical expertise across investment banking processes, both day-to-day and across projects;
5. Evaluating key economic variables � including GDP, inflation and interest rates � affecting market prices, along with the corresponding impact on supply and demand in domestic and foreign markets for the technology sector�s products and services to deliver strategic advice;
6. Effectively communicating company valuations and recommending changes in financing methods through formal presentations and written materials; and
7. Developing and reviewing detailed and sophisticated analyses of economic trends.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% domestically and/or internationally. Telecommuting permitted up to two days per week. Offered Salary ranges from $275,000 - $300,000. M-F, 40 hrs/wk.
