In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with labor union staff and trustees, as well as their investment consultants.Assume responsibility for a diverse portfolio of labor clients located throughout the United States, representing various trades.Serve as the primary point of contact for all investment-related inquiries for this client base, collaborating closely with the Oaktree Client Service team to address client requests.Enhance client relationships through effective management of investment reviews and active participation in industry conferences and events.Drive business development initiatives with existing clients and prospect for new opportunities within labor unions in collaboration with the Oaktree Consultant Relations team.Promote investment strategies tailored to client needs, including:Real Estate: core plus, opportunistic, and real estate debtDirect Lending: senior direct lending (sponsor and non-sponsor backed), life science lending, mezzanine lending, and European direct lendingOpportunistic Credit and Special SituationsPrivate Equity: Power OpportunitiesLiquid Credit: multi-asset credit, high yield, senior loans, and short-duration investment gradeHedge Funds: distressed-oriented strategiesPublic Equity: emerging marketsCollaborate effectively within a successful marketing team, leveraging partnerships across the organization.Identify new business opportunities and utilize all available resources to secure institutional mandates.Travel as needed for sales meetings, networking events, and conferences.Prepare and maintain reports to keep management informed of progress and developments.QualificationsProven experience in the Taft-Hartley market with a commitment to serving this underserved sector through alternative investments.Versatile and knowledgeable in marketing a range of products within a multi-faceted investment firm.8-12 years of experience in marketing and relationship managementPossession of Series 7 and 63 licenses or a willingness to obtain these designations as a condition of employment.EducationBachelor’s degree required.Base Salary Range$225,000-$275,000In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement.
