Job Description Summary:
The Vice President, Operations is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and effective patient care through all operational aspects for assigned area, while meeting all corporate compliance and other established rules and regulations governing the healthcare industry. The role is directly accountable for driving market development and financial performance while providing direct oversight for all area Operations.

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
+ Oversees operational performance of all for assigned area including efficient, effective, and high-quality delivery of services and patient care.
+ Ensures patient safety and satisfaction through all operations including pharmacy dispensing operations. Ensures error proofing for pick, pack and ship operations.
+ Review and evaluate each COE performance on a continuing basis and establish proper measures of performance. Counsel Directors/Sr. Directors on execution of programs and when necessary, provide direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions.
+ Partners with sales and market access leaders to drive market development and execute market-based sales strategy.
+ Communicate the mission of the organization/department to the staff. Develop and communicate specific strategies/objectives to accomplish the company’s/department’s mission. Shares information, involves staff and gains their commitment to achieve goals. Communicate rationale behind changes in policies, procedures and organizational structure.
+ Foster “intra-organizational” and “intra-departmental” teamwork by initiating communication with and working with other organizational areas to accomplish department goals. Demonstrate a solid employee relations skills and knowledge of workplace ethics and diversity.
+ Set and clearly convey standards for performance that challenge subordinates and help them to learn and develop. Provide information/feedback regularly on performance including constructive criticism and encouragement. Hold staff responsible for achievement of goals/objectives.
+ Develop a business plan consistent with corporate goals. Maintain appropriate structure to execute business plan. Allocate financial and human resources to achieve goals in the most cost/beneficial manner. Monitor staff accomplishments, area performance and expenses against goals.
+ Drives financial performance of all COEs through supply chain/inventory optimization, managing controllable expenses, reducing bad debt (claims on hold) and accurate patient registration and on-boarding.
+ Ensures compliance with local and federal regulations, accreditation standards and corporate policies to drive effectiveness and consistency in operations.
+ Builds a cohesive, service-oriented team through recruitment, training and development, engagement and retention of qualified team members. Maintains a work environment in which staff will succeed and grow in their professional development and contribute to the overall success of Option Care.
+ Consistently models behaviors that build our culture around the Option Care Core Values of Compassionate Care, Engaged Teams and Quality Results.
+ Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary Option Care data.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in a position leading pharmacy operations.
+ At least 5 years of experience managing a P&L including budget development.
+ At least 5 years of experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work; experience in leading team efforts within highly matrixed organizations.
Basic Qualifications
+ Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
+ Demonstrated success with meeting financial goals and objectives.
+ Ability to manage rapid growth and establish training, orientation and team building areas.
+ Experience in budget development, management and analysis.
+ Knowledge of nursing, pharmacy and medical practices and procedures.
+ Knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations.
+ Experience planning organizing, developing, implementing and interpreting programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
+ Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
+ Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations.
+ Basic level skill in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Travel Requirements: (if required)
+ Willing to travel at least 60% of the time for business purposes.
Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)
+ Master’s Degree in Healthcare of Business Administration.
+ Experience leading multi-site sales and/or operations in Home Health Care or Infusion.
+ RPh licensure.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $203,171.21-$338,626.03
