We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Permanent Vice President of Tax. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished tax professional to lead, manage and drive the tax function in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and strategy.
They will be expected to provide leadership and guidance in tax matters, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role will require a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to interpret and apply these laws to various business scenarios

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the company's tax operations, including tax compliance, tax planning, tax controversy, and accounting for income taxes.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal, state, and local taxes.
- Manage the company's tax risk and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Review current and deferred tax provision and ensure timely and accurate filing of all corporate tax returns.
- Advise on tax implications of business proposals and corporate strategies, identifying potential tax benefits and risks.
- Lead and coordinate audits and inquiries by various taxation authorities.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
- Provide internal tax advisory services and support on business transaction and activities.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for tax savings.
- Work closely with other departments within the organization to provide support and guidance on tax matters.
- Lead, manage and develop the tax team to optimize performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree in Taxation or Law is preferred.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a tax managerial role within the finance industry.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and tax research.
- Experience with various tax operations, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax.
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in tax software and MS Office.
