Job Description:
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for a team that drives business development initiatives. This role is responsible for bookings and revenue from existing accounts and delivering new accounts.
- Manages a team of sales professionals who focus on companies that have a stake in the healthcare revenue cycle. Ensure those professionals can effectively position those target companies.
- Executes plans to exceed quarterly and annual targets for bookings and revenue based on the teams’ ability to generate interest, qualify and formalize agreements with identified accounts and ensure management of assigned existing accounts.
- Builds solid relationships with all relevant stakeholders at assigned accounts.
- Ensures minimal terminations against quarterly and annual targets.
- Develops talent and advancement path of team members and recruits the right new talent, as applicable.
- Assists in the protection of existing revenue and leverages opportunities to grow existing business.
- Creates and maintains a positive image of the company through business relationships with internal and external clients.
- Explores new sales opportunities by analyzing competitive information and establishing courses of action.
- Remains knowledgeable on value and how client Business Issues are addressed.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years’ of experience in healthcare revenue cycle.
- 5+ years’ experience of Sales Leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in expanding wallet share with existing accounts, prospecting new accounts, and successfully closing new accounts through business to business partnerships in the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated success delivering presentations through C-suite level that provide a holistic solution to client business issues.
- Demonstrated success in managing sales cycles.
- Demonstrated tactical selling skills (presentations, quoting, demonstrations and closing).
- Experience building revenue-generating partnerships with industry leaders.
- Demonstrated success in expanding wallet share with existing accounts, prospecting new accounts, and successfully closing new accounts through business to business partnerships in the healthcare industry.
- Self-starter and independent thinker with the aptitude to work autonomously.
- Strong communication skills, ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to easily convey concepts to peers, clients and teams.
- Highly proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Must display excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills with all levels of internal and external clients.
- Anticipated travel 40%
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing Business.
- Working knowledge of Lean concepts for business excellence.
