We are seeking a driven and passionate Vice President of Quality to join our dynamic team in the Lean Manufacturing Industry. This role involves overseeing our quality management initiatives, ensuring the company's products and services meet and exceed the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, manufacturing, lean six, and ISO. This role requires a minimum of 10+ years of experience working in Quality and experience working for companies that manufacture precision machine parts for the government
Responsibilities:
As the VP of Quality, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing quality control processes, procedures, and standards across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and managing the quality team to ensure the effectiveness of quality control processes and systems.
2. Establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system (QMS) in line with ISO standards.
3. Collaborating with different department heads to develop and implement quality improvement strategies.
4. Overseeing the identification and resolution of quality-related issues, ensuring swift and effective corrective actions.
5. Driving lean six sigma initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
6. Reviewing and analyzing quality performance data to identify areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the finance industry.
8. Conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure the continuous effectiveness of the QMS.
9. Training and mentoring staff on quality control and continuous improvement methodologies.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in quality management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in implementing and maintaining a QMS in line with ISO standards.
4. Strong understanding of lean six sigma methodologies with certification being a plus.
5. Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements within manufacturing.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Willing to roll up your sleeves and what's needed in times of growth
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
10. Proficient in using quality management software and other related tools.
