As our next Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for developing, directing, and overseeing the company’s Human Resources strategic initiatives in ways that support our employee experience, our company’s mission, and our overall organization's success.
Responsibilities
- Setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices
- Identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals and DEI practices.
- Supports management by providing human resources direction, advice, and counsel.
- Led our compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal requirements
- Advise and coach leadership on how to manage performance complex and sensitive employee relations matters
- Develop and maintain partnerships with team members
- Provide direction and support on employee relations issues and Employee Relations best practices.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals
- Work closely with company leaders to develop and implement long-term strategic initiatives.
- Initiate a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program to shape and deliver experiences, programs
- Responsible for benefit administration
- Creating and maintaining an environment where people can be their authentic self!
- Manages other areas such as employee communication, employee safety, and health.
- Lead and implement key learning and development initiatives
- Partners with internal stakeholders to build and deliver learning and development strategies and programming
- Leads the HR function to be a strategic partner to the business, advancing organizational initiatives and overall performance.
- Set the tone for HR to support the organization in delivering the mission/vision and modeling core values.
- Build a scalable HR infrastructure that can address Company growth and changes in business needs
- Coaches, mentors, and interacts with direct reports, the HR team, and all levels of the organization to foster growth
- Ensures all employment, benefits, and pay practices are applied equitably
- Ensure that HR practices are aligned with organization objectives.
Require Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Over 15 years of Human Resources career experience
- Over 10 years in an HR leadership role
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
- Experience working in a non-profit, for-profit environment preferred.
- Straight-forward, transparent, and self-motivated!
- Strong managerial and coaching skill
- MUST HAVE personal integrity, fairness, and inclusivity.
- Performance-driven leader with outstanding communication skills
- Advanced HR experience with key experience in developing people strategies.
- Selects, negotiates, and administers all benefits programs including our 401(k) plan.
- Strong experience designing and managing all core HR processes
- Manages all annual and periodic “clock-driven” employment processes
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of HR management
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency.
- Ability to work in a shared office with a fast-paced environment and frequent interruptions.
