We are seeking a Director of Human Resources with prior experience in the skilled nursing/senior housing industry to join our team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred) in addition to, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, 5 years in the Senior Care/Senior Housing industry, along with 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Prior experience with at least 5 years in the skilled nursing/senior housing industry is mandatory
- Strong understanding of Human Resources principles and best practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in Human Resource systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Remote, with ability to travel as needed. Reside in Iowa preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Human Resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives of Campbell Street Senior Living.
- Oversee all aspects of Human Resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with Campbell Street Senior Living’s Talent Acquisition Consultant to identify staffing needs and develop effective workforce planning strategies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on Human Resources -related matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Lead the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including annual salary reviews, bonus plans, and employee benefits enrollment.
- Oversee the administration of the company's Human Resources system and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of employees at all levels of the organization.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in Human Resources management, particularly within the long-term care industry.
