Join our dynamic team as the Vice President of Finance at our Needham, MA headquarters, nestled in the bustling Greater Boston area. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy and operations. Your expertise will guide the development of our Annual Operating Plan, streamline our financial processes, and lead strategic investment analysis to foster informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycle, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Produce and refine monthly financial reporting packages to enhance the transparency and accuracy of financial data, providing deep insights into operational performance.
Continually enhance a robust financial model to support executive decision-making and scenario analysis, offering strategic leadership and innovative perspectives.
Guarantee the timely preparation of financial statements to support swift and strategic executive decisions.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures covering all financial, accounting, and compliance activities.
Serve as the primary financial liaison with banking institutions, managing monthly compliance reporting and fostering strong banking relationships.
Oversee the coordination of tax planning, extensions, and filings in collaboration with external tax advisors.
Advocate for and implement necessary updates to accounting policies to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.
Manage a comprehensive database of key performance indicators, delivering a high-level weekly dashboard to the executive team.
Ensure meticulous preparation for audits, and drive the department's efficiency through ongoing process improvements.
Lead a high-performing finance team by hiring, training, and motivating staff, emphasizing career development and professional growth.
Undertake special projects as directed by the COO, including project-specific accounting and ROI analysis.
Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including standards setting, variance tracking, and the application of overhead in cost calculations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Management or Accounting; an MBA with a concentration in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
At least 15 years of relevant experience, including 3 to 5 years in a financial leadership role within the manufacturing sector.
Previous tenure as a Corporate Controller is highly advantageous.
CPA certification is valued, though practical experience will be considered with high regard.
