Position Overview:
The Vice President of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the organization. This critical position requires a strategic and analytical mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices. As the VP of Finance, you will collaborate closely with the executive team to guide the company’s financial strategy, ensuring its fiscal health, sustainability, and growth. You will oversee financial planning, analysis, budgeting, risk management, and compliance, while driving financial performance and operational efficiencies. In partnership with our parent company in Germany, you will play a key role in shaping the financial future of the North American subsidiary, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end financial processes, optimizing efficiency and driving continuous improvement.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business growth.
• Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with overall business goals.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements, managing risk effectively.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance/accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
• Serve as the primary financial liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors and banks.
• Manage cash flow, optimize capital structure, and drive profitability through strategic financial decisions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• CPA preferred, with 8+ years of senior-level accounting and financial leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Expertise in financial regulations, compliance standards, IFRS reporting and ERP accounting systems (SAP a PLUS!).
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP software, with exceptional project management abilities.
