Location: Northeastern United States (Onsite)
Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Finance and Accounting to oversee the financial health and operational success of a multi-location organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while implementing strategies to drive sustainable growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional financial expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance organizational performance.
Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets.
Monitor financial plans and budgets, providing progress updates and recommendations.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Coordinate annual audits, liaising with external auditors and providing progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
Manage cash flow and forecasting while analyzing capital requirements for infrastructure investments.
Accounting and Reporting:
Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and the general ledger.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow analyses.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and mitigate risks.
Performance Management:
Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to assess efficiency and profitability.
Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
Provide updates on financial performance and KPIs to the executive team and board of directors.
Strategic Leadership:
Serve as a key advisor to the CFO and leadership team, offering insights for strategic decision-making.
Lead initiatives to streamline financial processes, enhance data analytics, and optimize resource allocation.
Manage and mentor the finance and accounting teams to foster high performance and professional growth.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, auditors, and financial institutions.
Represent the organization in discussions with stakeholders to align financial goals and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA and MBA strongly preferred).
Over 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, including 7+ years in leadership roles within a multi-location healthcare or similar environment.
Expertise in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, cost containment, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for influencing stakeholders across all levels.
Prior success in managing significant personnel teams and overseeing financial reporting and budget development.
