We appreciate the individuality of the people around us.About the Role:The Regional Vice President of Engineering (RVPE) will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic engineering vision across their designated region.
This pivotal leadership role involves overseeing all engineering operations and ensuring alignment with the Trace3’s overall goals and objectives.
The RVPE will manage a diverse team of engineering professionals, drive innovation, and optimize engineering processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
The leadership of this role will be crucial in fostering a collaborative environment, mentoring and upleveling the team, steering regional projects to successful completion, ensuring Trace3’s Total Customer Experience, and maintaining the highest possible standards of engineering excellence.Key responsibilities include mentorship and team development, the development of regional engineering strategies and plays, strategic account planning, interfacing with HQ business units, budget management, and stakeholder engagement.
The RVPE’s ability to align regional engineering efforts with Trace3’s strategy will be essential in driving growth and sustaining competitive advantage.What You’ll Do:Partner with GM and sales leadership to develop and execute a regional engineering strategy in alignment with the Trace3’s overall vision and objectives.Manage and optimize engineering operations, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing architectural engineering team.
This includes the recruitment, training, and ongoing performance evaluation.Work with the regional engineering and sales teams to bring new, regionally relevant offerings to marketEnsure our regional relevance with select partners through engineering excellenceOversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of regional engineering projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.Drive technological innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering function, promoting the adoption of best practices and cutting-edge technologies.Develop and manage the regional engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control.Collaborate with regional senior management, other regional engineering leaders, CTO Business Unit leaders, and the Operational Leadership Team to align engineering efforts with business goals and address key issues.Ensure that all engineering activities comply with Trace3’s engineering standards and guidelines.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering engagements and operations.Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with engineering projects and operations to minimize impact on the business.Qualifications & Interests:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited universityMinimum of 10-15 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5-7 years in a senior management or leadership roleMinimum of 5-10 years of experience working in direct sales engineering, or in a sales engineering adjacent environment – a VAR, an OEM, an MSSP, etc.Proven track record of transformational change within an engineering organizationPassion on a cellular level for technology and driving clint-facing change.Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale and complex engineering projectsExperience in managing and developing engineering teams, including recruitment, training, and performance managementStrong financial and business acumen with understanding of a multi-faceted business operationExperience in developing and managing budgets for engineering operations, with a track record of cost control and financial efficiencyDemonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution, with a focus on aligning engineering efforts with business goalsStrong influencing skills to get things done and inspire business transformationAbility to partner and collaborate with business and sales leaders across the companyHighly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environmentAbility to approach customer and sales requests with a proactive and consultative manner; listen and understand user requests and needs and effectively deliverExcellent oral, written communication and presentation skills with an ability to present security related concepts to C-Level Executives and non-technical audienceConflict negotiation and problem-solving skills and agilityAbility to travel when neededThe Perks:Comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans for you and your dependents401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Match, 529 College Savings Plan, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, and Long-Term DisabilityCompetitive CompensationTraining and development programsStocked kitchen with snacks and beveragesCollaborative and cool cultureWork-life balance and generous paid time off***To all recruitment agencies: Trace3 does not accept unsolicited agency resumes/CVs.
