We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Permanent Director of Affordable Housing Compliance. This position plays a critical role in our organization, ensuring we meet our commitment to providing affordable housing solutions to those who need it most. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with extensive experience in affordable housing, compliance, low-income housing tax credits, USDA Rural Development, and Housing and Urban Development. This role is responsible for managing our affordable housing portfolio and overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.

This role is responsible for managing our affordable housing portfolio and overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Director of Affordable Housing Compliance, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Overseeing the management of our affordable housing portfolio, ensuring we meet all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Developing and implementing strategies for the acquisition, development, and preservation of affordable housing.
- Navigating complex regulatory and compliance issues related to low-income housing tax credits, USDA Rural Development, and Housing and Urban Development.
- Overseeing all aspects of regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
- Collaborating with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure our affordable housing initiatives align with our overall strategic goals.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to affordable housing and ensuring our organization adapts accordingly.
- Leading a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance, and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Director of Affordable Housing Compliance role will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or other advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in affordable housing, compliance, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of low-income housing tax credits, USDA Rural Development, and Housing and Urban Development.
- Proven experience managing an affordable housing portfolio.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex regulatory and compliance issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory and compliance issues.
