Portfolio Management Department Overview
The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the investment life cycle of all PEG managed commercial real estate investments. The team will obtain approval for an investment from the Investment Committee and then oversee the execution of the business plan for that investment, coordinating where needed with PEG Capital Markets, PEG Development, PEG Property Group, PEG Hospitality Group, and PEG Construction.
PEG has a direct investment portfolio and four existing funds, three closed for investment.

Responsibilities:
This position will play a crucial role on the Residential/Multifamily portfolio management team, providing oversight on value creation and strategy execution for a portfolio of multifamily and commercial assets. This associate will also oversee acquisitions and underwriting of new core plus, value-add, and income opportunities in the multifamily sector, focusing on the Intermountain West, Southwest, and Mid-Atlantic areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage a rapidly growing portfolio of multifamily assets across the county.
- Oversee asset management for a small number of office and industrial properties.
- Provide expertise and leadership to associates on the execution of the business plans for each investment, coordinating with development, construction, capital markets, and property management, as appropriate.
- Oversee the preparation of presentations to the Investment Committee as needed for new acquisitions or changes to business plans.
- Monitor and evaluate financial operating results to enhance cash flow and profitability by completing monthly financial reviews and reviewing weekly property data.
- Collaborate with property management to identify challenges and execute timely and effective solutions.
- Perform periodic site inspections and reviews of physical condition.
- Review and approve annual operating budgets and capital planning for each asset. Review and approve or reject variances to the budget as presented by property management
- Review and analyze lease proposals, as applicable, from prospective and current commercial and retail tenants.
- Track and monitor debt covenants and assist with loan closings.
- Negotiate third-party agreements as necessary.
- Assist the Managing Director in fund management
- Enhance investor relationships.
- Coordinate investor communications, responsible for content and delivery of both internal and external communications.
- Quarterly status reports and Management Letters
- Quarterly fund meetings as needed.
- LP Advisory Board meetings as needed.
- Provide content and support for equity fundraising.
- Ensure business plan symmetry between investor pitch decks and investor documents with the legal department.
- Assist Managing Director/Fund Manager on fund-level communications and cash management, including asset and fund level cash management and capital deployment of funds.
- Review and approve distributions for approval by the entity/fund manager
- Review and approve asset-level distributions and capital calls for presentation and approval to asset-level managing members, as required.
- Recommend and oversee the acquisition and disposition of individual assets, ensuring the highest level of review and due diligence prior to acquisition. Oversee the closing process, coordinating with the accounting team as necessary.
Management Responsibilities:
This position will report directly to the Managing Director – Residential. This position will provide mentoring and leadership to Associates and Analysts on the Residential Team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate. MBA preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with energy and self-direction.

- Minimum 5 years experience in the multifamily sector.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at desk.
- Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard and tolerate prolonged periods performing work using a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
