Position Overview: Dixie seeks a dynamic and experienced Vice President (VP) of Finance to join our executive team. The VP of Finance will steer the company's financial strategy and operations, ensure robust financial and P&L management, and drive strategic initiatives to support growth objectives and operating results. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the specialty chemicals sector, strong financial acumen, and exceptional leadership capabilities. The VP must be highly skilled in operations management with experience dealing with multiple products, complex cost structures, and profitability analysis. The position will report to Glencoe Diversified Holdings (“GDH”) Global Chief Financial Officer and serve as a partner to the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Dixie’s business goals and long-term vision.
- Partner with the executive team to guide strategic planning, investment decisions, and overall corporate direction.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that support the Company’s strategic direction.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance, profitability, and sustainable growth.
- Build and implement a comprehensive 360-degree view of customers and operations by integrating data from multiple touchpoints (sales, marketing, customer service, supply chain, and production) to improve customer insights, streamline processes, and foster a more agile and responsive business strategy.
- Drive growth opportunities through organic and inorganic strategic acquisitions/opportunities.
Financial and Operational Excellence:
- Partner with the executive team to drive the operational execution of key business strategies and support tactical initiatives based on relevant KPIs.
- Develop an interactive and dynamic profitability management system by leveraging advanced data analytics and digital tools in real-time that enable swift response to market fluctuations, optimal product mixes and production processes, and informed pricing and supply chain decisions that enhance financial performance.
- Make recommendations on how to improve financial performance and execute operational improvement plans.
- Develop tools, capabilities, and data to support commercial team, including strategic pricing and market intelligence.
- Lead due diligence and integration processes for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between the finance department and other business units to support organizational objectives.
- Communicate the company’s financial performance, strategy, and outlook to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Accounting,
- Monthly financial review process with GDH and Company leadership.
- Company Board meetings, materials preparation and presentation.
- Financial discussions and negotiations with key partners and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA or CFA designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive corporate finance experience, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within the specialty chemicals or related industry.
- 5 years or greater in demonstrated operations management of a chemical/industrial business is highly desirable.

- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex financial data and making strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and manage cross-functional relationships effectively.
- Ability to manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels across a diverse range of personalities.
- Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners.
- Demonstrated success working both independently and in highly collaborative environments.
- Self-motivated and acts and thinks like an owner/entrepreneur.
- Expert level Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Moderate travel required (~25% travel expectation) with periodic visits to San Antonio (location of accounting team) and Austin (GDH corporate headquarters).
