VCA Old Marple Veterinary Hospital is seeking compassionate Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our technical team!
Location: 820 W Springfield Rd, Springfield, PA 19064
Potential candidates will assist both technicians and doctors with providing exceptional medical care for dogs and cats. We are looking for a full time technician to work in the general practice portion of our hospital, supervise all the Room Technicians. Our Room Technicians assist the doctor with obtaining medical history, give vaccines as directed by doctor, obtain laboratory samples, take radiographs, fill prescriptions, clean ears, express anal glands, nail trims, and client education. Candidates should be proficient at patient restraint techniques including low stress techniques. Ideally candidates will be competent at administering SQ, IM and PO medications, performing venipuncture and collecting urine samples. Experience in digital radiology is a plus.
All candidates must possess strong written/oral communication and computer skills. We will train the right candidates.
VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital is a state of the art veterinary hospital serving Springfield, Pennsylvania and surrounding counties. We offer general practice appointments, routine and emergency surgeries, radiology, ultrasound, laboratory testing and 24-hour emergency services.
Schedule varies between the different departments, you will be expected to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
