Veterinary Technician - Part-time/Temporary/Hourly - Bellingham Technical College

Bellingham Technical College has an opening for a part-time Veterinary Technician (or board-qualified graduate of a certified Veterinary Technician Program) for the Veterinary Technician Program for the upcoming quarter April-June 2024 and the following academic year, Fall 2024 - Spring 2025.  
 
This is a part-time temporary hourly assignment that follows the academic calendar. Hours vary and will typically be between 0-16 hours per week. This position reports to the Program Dean, with direction from the program Instructors. Temporary assignments are on an as needed basis and dependent upon college and program need.  

Under the general direction of the coordinator/faculty, the Veterinary Technician must have knowledge and expertise in the topics they assist in lab instruction and skills evaluation. They should promote the appropriate role of the veterinary technician in the veterinary health care team. Duties must follow state laws regarding the practice of veterinary medicine. The Veterinary Technician must be skilled and knowledgeable to set-up and monitor students. They need to be well-trained in the nursing care of animals.
