The facility is a new construction with all new equipment, including digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, Idexx VetSuite, and Idexx Reference Laboratory.
Duties included, but not limited to:
- Assisting doctors in exam rooms.
- Animal restraint.
- Perform radiographs.
- Perform sample collection and processing.
- Dispense medications and provide client instruction for home care.
- Admit patients scheduled for anesthetic procedures.
- Keep surgical materials stocked; prepare gown and surgical packs or oversee this process.
- Prepare a surgery suite for surgery in collaboration with a surgery assistant and perform weekly equipment maintenance.
- Perform induction/intubation and all pre-anesthetic procedures, including patient prep.
- Monitor patients post-operatively.
- Clean surgery suites and instruments following hospital sterilization protocols.
- Keep accurate drug logs and records of all soft tissue surgery and dental procedures.
- Ensure all surgery patients go home well-groomed and in an appropriate medical state.
- Clean, scale, and polish teeth using dental equipment and hand instruments.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time.
Shift & Schedule: 10-hour shift. Day shift. Monday to Friday. Weekend availability.
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent (Required).
- CVT (Preferred).
Veterinary experience: Technician and soft tissue surgery and dentistry experience.
Education: CVT, VTS, DVM
Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 2-3 years (Required).
