Veterinary Receptionist at Holistic Veterinary Services

We are currently seeking an upbeat person who can fulfill the following duties on a PT (25-30 hrs per week) basis:

1. Politely answer phones, schedule, and confirm appointments. This job entails a lot of phone time.

2. Dispense supplements and medications per doctor’s orders

3. Greet clients with a smile and friendly demeanor

4. Communicate with clients in other ways such as by email or text (clinic cell phone)

5. Clean rooms, bathroom, and other areas of the clinic

6. Handle, create forms for, and package laboratory samples (gloves provided)

7. Scan, copy, or fax documents to records, clients, or other clinics

8. Be open minded and knowledgeable (through us teaching you) about holistic and integrative medicine.

9. Possibly assisting with animal restraint when needed.

Animal handling experience would be a plus but is not necessary. Computer experience is a must. Experience with some type of credit card processing software/app is desirable. A great attitude and ability to work well as a team are a necessity.

We are excited to welcome a new member of our team as we expand into our new, larger location.

Starting rate (see range) with potential $1/hr raise after 90 days if job performance is exemplary.

Hours needed are Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 pm, Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 pm, and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with possible additional hours 1-2 Thursdays per month. We may be expanding clinic hours so there may be additional hours available, but no weekends!
