Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career? Walton-Gwinnett Animal Clinic, a trusted name in veterinary care since 1991, is seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinary Medical Director (MDVM) to lead our practice in Loganville, GA.
What We Offer:
- Flexible Schedule: Only one Saturday per month (8a until noon), NO SUNDAYS! Have 2-3 days off per week, 2-hour lunches with 1 surgery day per week

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Medical Oversight:
- Lead clinical initiatives and collaborate with a skilled team of veterinary professionals
- Serve as the primary medical authority for clinical operations and decisions.
- Monitor patient outcomes and provide feedback to improve clinical practices.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Positive and effective leadership with a proven ability to foster, mentor and develop a collaborative work environment.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage a team with emotional intelligence
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Conduct regular team meetings and case reviews to encourage shared learning.
Operational Collaboration:
- Work closely with hospital leadership and regional operation management to align medical goals with overall operational strategies.
- Oversee scheduling to balance workload and ensure coverage for quality patient care.
Client Relations:
- Maintain a strong presence in the hospital to engage with clients and address concerns.
- Set the standard for client education and communication regarding medical procedures and patient care.
Education and Licensure:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited university.
- Valid veterinary license in the state of Georgia or the ability to obtain one.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experience, and prefer at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role, but not limited as we are open to development.
- Strong background in both general practice and medical/surgical procedures.
