**Job Posting: Veterinary Assistant - General Practice** **Location:** Redmond, WA **Facility Type:** General Veterinary Practice **Work Schedule:** 4 shifts, 10 hours each (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM) **About Us:** We are a fast-paced, growing veterinary facility located in Redmond, WA. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team. **Position Summary:** As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. You will assist with animal care, client communication, and daily clinic tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a passion for animal care. **Responsibilities:** + Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, procedures, and surgeries + Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies + Handle and restrain animals for exams, treatments, and procedures + Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed + Provide client education on pet care, medications, and procedures + Maintain accurate patient records and update client files + Monitor patients during recovery and assist with post-op care + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic + Answer client inquiries and schedule appointments + Ensure the comfort and safety of animals at all times **Qualifications:** + Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience preferred + Strong knowledge of animal care and basic medical terminology + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks + Compassionate, patient, and a team player + Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds + Must be able to work 4 shifts of 10 hours each (Monday-Friday) **Benefits:** + Competitive pay: $20 to $25 an hour + Opportunity for growth in a fast-paced, expanding clinic + Health, dental, and vision insurance + Paid time off + Retirement plan options + Employee discounts on pet care **If you are a current associate, you will need to apply through our internal career site.
