Job Description Summary:
The ideal candidate works in cooperation with the Operations Manager and Medical Director. They will have a commitment to high quality care, energy, a passion for helping animals and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose and formulate treatment plans for patients.
- Perform surgeries including soft tissue and dentistry.
- Advise clients about general care, medical conditions and treatments.
- Other duties as requested by the Medical Director.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the State of California.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
- Manages time and tasks appropriately.
- Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
- Ability to work well with team members.
- Be comfortable with most soft tissue surgeries and routine dental procedures.
1-2 years’ experience
