Practice: Precious Paws Animal Hospital is proud to serve Southaven, Olive Branch, Hernando, Horn Lake, and the surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. Our facility now features 9 exam rooms (up from 6) and a treatment area that has doubled in size. This expansion allows us to offer advanced veterinary services, including ultrasound, orthopedic surgery, and enhanced dental care.Position Purpose: We are eager to expand our team! We are looking for another DVM to practice high-quality, compassionate veterinary medicine within the wonderful Lakeside community. Our recent remodel and expansion have significantly enhanced our capabilities. With 9 exam rooms (up from 6) and a treatment area that has doubled in size, we can now provide a wider range of advanced veterinary services, including ultrasound, orthopedic surgery, and enhanced dental care. We welcome DVMs of all experience levels: If you are a new or recent graduate, we are willing to provide all levels of desired mentorship with our personalized hybrid program. Our 6 DVMs are supported by a tremendous support staff of multiple RVTs, veterinary assistants, CSRs, and our practice manager. They are skilled and professional, ensuring our doctors always have a helping hand. Full and part-time positions available. About the area: Southaven, Mississippi, is part of the Memphis, Tennessee, metropolitan area and is a growing community with small-town charm. It offers multiple attractions, including shopping, restaurants, entertainment venues, and recreational activities for all to enjoy.Essential Responsibilities:Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.Provide counsel around pet end of life care.Maintain patients’ medical records.Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.Appropriate state licensure.Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experienceUnlimited personal timeBonus incentivesHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insuranceRetirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)CE and licensure reimbursement Flexible work schedulesManaging career path developmentEmployee Assistance ProgramDVM Referral ProgramMental Health ResourcesRelocation assistance available
