Job Details
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate veterinarian to join our small animal practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to our clients' pets and ensuring their overall health and well-being. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical histories of pets to diagnose and treat health problems
- Administer vaccinations, perform routine surgeries, and prescribe medications
- Develop treatment plans and communicate them effectively to pet owners
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide comprehensive and efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Educate pet owners about preventive care and promote overall wellness of pets
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Current state veterinary license and DEA license
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a small animal practice
- Proficient in performing routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, and dental cleanings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
