Description:
The Stars agency Van Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of Stars children and youth. Transportation is provided to and from homes to Stars programs via Stars vehicles. You must have a current 7D license.
Hours/Route:
This is a per diem position. The routes could be in the morning or afternoon in the Weymouth/Quincy area.
The shifts are approximately two hours in the morning and/or 2 hours in the afternoon. If you have availability for either time slot, please apply.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport children and youth to pre-designated drop-off.
- Maintain 7D and annual vehicle inspections as directed by center director/site coordinator.
- Comply with all Massachusetts RMV and DEEC Regulations.
- Comply with all South Shore Stars confidentiality policies/procedures.
Administrative Requirements:
- Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
- Complete all required Early Education Care on-line training.
- Work with center director/site coordinator in maintaining vehicle attendance.
- Vehicle incident log-reporting daily to center director/site coordinator.
- Maintain current 7D Driver's License.
- Complete Stars Transportation Agreement.
Qualifications:
- Must have current 7D Pupil License
- Must be deemed suitable by MA Department of Early Education Care Background Record Check process.
Reports to: School Age Program Director
* All South Shore Stars employees should be able to lift at least 40 lbs and work in a non-sedentary environment.
