Van Assembler Technician - Reading Truck

About the Job
Assemblers work under the direction of the Production Manager and Shop Lead to complete the assembly of specialty truck equipment for Van Body or Box Trucks.
The Nuts and Bolts
- Fit and assemble shelving partitions and other components using hand tools and power tools such as drill, riveter, etc.
- Measure and cut wood and metal materials
- Install wood floors, interior lining, insulation and fixtures using hand tools such as hammer, file and screwdriver. Power tools such as band saw, sander and hand drill.
- Install light duty equipment such as ladder racks, tool boxes and hitches
- Install electrical wiring for dome lights, taillights, brake lights, backup camera, emergency lighting and other equipment according to specified procedures.
Required Credentials
- Basic carpentry skills
- Basic electrical wiring skills a plus but not required
- Ability to operate power hand tools & read a tape measure
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Work occurs in a production facility
- Exposure to heat/cold
- Standing, sitting, working in tight areas
