Responsibilities:The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by safely parking and retrieving patients and visitor’s vehicles at the hospital, ensuring a smooth and courteous experience while prioritizing the needs of individuals with mobility limitations, and maintaining a clean and organized valet area, adhering to safety protocols; professionally greet arriving patients, visitors, and staff, assisting them with luggage or mobility devices as needed, and directing them to the valet stand; carefully park and retrieve vehicles in a designated parking area, ensuring proper vehicle placement and security; accurately record vehicle information on claim tickets and efficiently manage the ticket system to ensure timely vehicle retrieval; prioritize the needs of patients with mobility limitations, providing extra assistance with entering and exiting vehicles. Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper vehicle operation, traffic laws, and emergency procedures; provide accurate directions and answer questions regarding hospital facilities and services; maintain a clean and organized valet area, including the parking lot and surrounding spaces; follow established shift schedules and communicate effectively with fellow valet attendants and hospital staff Interact with diverse individuals in a professional and courteous manner, prioritizing patient needs; accurately record vehicle information and maintain an organized system; willingness to work varying shifts; abide by uniform policy ensuring a professional representation of the facility at all times.
Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
