Korn Ferry is looking for a UX Design Manager to join our rapidly growing product organization to lead the creation of our next generation of enterprise solutions that power the world's leading businesses across industries. As a UX Design Manager, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, UX Research, and Engineering, guiding your team to clarify problems, explore innovative solutions, and ensure that the experiences we design are impactful and valuable for our customers and end-users.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead UX Strategy and Execution: Drive UX strategy across the entire product lifecycle, leading a team of designers and collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver a cohesive and user-centered experience for our suite of Korn Ferry products.
- Mentor and Develop Design Talent: Provide mentorship and professional development for a team of UX designers, guiding them through project challenges, career growth, and building skills in Enterprise SaaS product design.
- Shape Product Vision and Design System: Collaborate on the overall product vision and experience architecture, contribute to the evolution of the KF Design System, and ensure consistency in design language and user experience across products.
- Lead and Participate in Human-Centered Design Initiatives: Apply human-centered design methods to high impact feature designs, guiding and working with the team in shaping product strategy through in-depth user research, insights, and iterative testing to ensure our solutions meet customer and end-user needs.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content teams to prioritize features and experiences, balancing business goals, customer value, and user needs while driving alignment among stakeholders.
- Deepen User Understanding: Advocate for and lead efforts to improve understanding of our diverse user groups, their workflows, and the role our solutions play in their day-to-day activities. Ensure our experiences seamlessly integrate and bring value to users' existing workflows.
- Drive a Culture of Design Excellence: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in design within the team, setting high standards for design quality, inclusivity, and measurable impact.
- You can work closely with research teams to plan and coordinate upfront field research activities, including identifying research needs and identifying ideal customer profiles.
- You can conduct usability assessments based on heuristics and universal design principles, providing actionable recommendations to enhance user interactions and overall experience quality.
- You're able to socialize design concepts and UX direction across teams and stakeholders to gather additional business requirements, align on goals, and refine solutions to meet both user and business needs.
- You're comfortable working and collaborating in Figma
- Proven UX leadership experience: You have about 7+ years of experience designing cross product experiences for Enterprise SaaS product suites with 3+ years leading a UX team. You know how to guide a team through complex design challenges and deliver solutions tied to clear outcomes.
- A track record of shipping products: You've successfully shipped scalable, global solutions, understanding the demands of building for a modern, post-pandemic, intelligence-driven workforce. You can navigate the entire product development lifecycle and help your team do the same.
- Complex Problem-Solving: You excel at breaking down complex problems and guiding your team toward solutions that balance simplicity and capability. You understand when to leverage best practices and when to innovate.
- Human-Centered Design Mindset: You bring empathy and a human-focused approach to everything you do. You guide the team in incorporating user research, usability testing, and iteration to ensure user needs are incorporated in your team's solutions.
- Hands-On Design Expertise: You are comfortable getting hands-on with the design work- whether it's exploring high-level concepts, refining flows, or reviewing designs to ensure they align with the broader vision and product goals.
- Strong Communication and Facilitation Skills: You're an effective communicator and facilitator. You've planned and led design sprints, structured workshops, and spearheaded cross-functional collaborations to align stakeholders and drive outcomes efficiently.
- Core Design Principles: You deeply understand core design principles, ensuring that even early wireframes communicate effectively to ensure that discussions focus on experience and impact.
- Design Portfolio: Demonstrate your skills & track record by providing a portfolio of Work Samples and Case Studies
- Experience designing enterprise SaaS solutions, particularly within the Human Capital Management and Talent Development sectors, focusing on user needs and organizational impact.
- Experience in leading designers to create data visualizations and insights dashboards that empower users to make informed decisions without requiring expertise in data science.
- Experience designing assessments and similar controlled experiences, with a focus on minimizing bias and persuasion throughout the user journey, is a plus.
- Comfortable setting and assessing work performance against well-defined, quantitative metrics to ensure that design efforts drive tangible outcomes
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
