Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Utility Steward/Dishwasher at a private co-educational college preparatory boarding and day school located in Gill, MA

• $19.00 Per Hour
• Part time
• General schedule can be 6a-2:30p or 11:30a-8p
• Free Meals

What the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will do:

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize items
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately
• Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas
• Clean dining and serving areas throughout and after the meal period and replenish to ensure service without interruption
• Setup and use three - compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping mopping floors, and removal of trash
• Assist with receiving and storage of food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety
• Perform all duties by food safety and sanitation best practices
• Other duties, as assigned
  

What the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will need:

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Previous utility/dishwasher experience required
• Ability to measure products and convert units of measure
• Awareness of commercial kitchen equipment and how to perform routine maintenance and cleaning
• Reliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment
• Good communication skills and a great attitude
