You will be trusted to: - Provide safety consultation and serve as a safety and health resource for LCRA staff in Telecom. - Participate in the research, development, and implementation of safety policies and procedures. - Assist with incident investigations, tracking, and reporting. - Schedule and assist with conducting safety orientations, safety training, health training and monthly / quarterly safety meetings. - Assist with safety and health inspections and audits. - Assist staff with project support related to health and safety issues. - Prepare health and safety plans for LCRA projects. - Coordinate medical monitoring activities and schedule employees for testing. - Provide daily on-site safety support with a strong interpersonal skills to engage with people. - Travel to work sites to engage with partners and support other Generation operations. - Support base of operations and management teams at the LCRA Service Center in Austin.

You qualify with: - Six or more years of experience in telecommunications utility safety or other relevant experience. Experience must include one or more years of experience with ANSI, OSHA 1910.268 and IEEE C95.6-2002 standards and applicable telecommunications work practices and safety policies. A degree(s) in telecommunications, occupational safety and health, or related field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. - Driver’s license You are a great fit with: - Bachelors degree or greater in Occupational Safety & Health or similar. - Certification(s) in the field of Safety & Health such as the ASP, CSP, or OHST. - Experience in at least one of the following fields: telecommunications, power generation, transmission, or construction.
