Overview:
Performing maintenance and mechanical duties ranging in responsibility from preventative maintenance and repair activities, troubleshooting equipment failures and ability to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility in a cGMP chemical facility.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failure.
- Diagnoses problems and repairs malfunctioning rotating equipment.
- Measure, cut, fit and assemble threaded, welded and glued joint pipe.
- Replace appropriate pump and agitator seals.
- Unload bulk liquids from tank trucks.
- Responsible for maintenance of all equipment control systems plant wide.
- Take readings, test steam chemicals, operate and maintain boilers in steam plant.
- Oversee maintenance and operation of cooling towers, fire protection, WFI and other utility operating systems.
- Complete set ups, as required.
- Complete own line entry, hot work and confined space permits.
- Implement lubrication and preventative maintenance programs.
- Welding repair and fabrication work as needed.
- Minor piping insulation work as needed.
- Assist with installation of new equipment.
- Perform minor instrument calibrations as needed.
- Assist with weekend and holiday perimeter security.
- Responsible for monitoring operational status of emergency generator.
- Ability to utilize the CMMS to locate spare parts I Maintenance Stores area.
- Occasional activities relating to departmental goals, not specifically detailed in this section.
- Must be able to wear a respirator (training is provided)
- Must be able to work in confined space (training is provided)
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to do overhead work, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
