- Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
- Conduct daily briefings, timecard reviews, and safety inspections.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate workflow, resources, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
- Oversee wet utility installations (water, sewer, storm), earthworks, and other tasks.
- Ensure compliance with plans, permits, and safety standards.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Enforce OSHA and Trench Safety regulations.
- Perform regular safety and equipment inspections.
- Quality Control:
- Uphold quality assurance standards on all projects.
- Address and resolve any performance or material issues promptly.
- Communication:
- Maintain daily communication with the superintendent, crew members, and clients.
- Prepare reports, including budget reviews, equipment inspections, and job performance data.
- Experience:
- 5-10 years in construction, with wet utility and earthwork expertise.
- Experience leading crews and managing construction sites.
- Certifications:
- OSHA-30, Trench Safety Competent Person, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency with construction management tools, GPS technology, and heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Lift 50 lbs or more; climb, bend, and stand for long periods.
