This position requires a motivated person to manage and assist with Utilities Programs in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. The primary focus of this position is to manage the Utilities safety, security programs and emergency preparedness. The successful candidate will be expected to: conduct facility audits and field inspections, investigate accidents/incidents, report tracking, provide document and data review, apply for grants, coordinate safety and emergency response plan revisions, conduct staff training, and prepare educational literature and presentations throughout the year. The Program Coordinator communicates with regulatory agencies, vendors and Risk Management staff as needed. This is an essential position; incumbent will be required to work extended hours during and after hurricanes or other disasters. Works proactively and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Follows safety procedures and promotes a safe work environment. A strong understanding of ethical behavior is required. Needs to have an intellectual curiosity and a desire to find answers. Performs other related duties as assigned.
