Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for Utility District operations including water treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection and pumping. The work entails technical engineering analysis, engineering approvals, engineering design, computations, standards and specification updates, plan reviews, evaluations, QA/QC checks, and engineering inspections. The position will also manage engineering projects and work with outside engineering support as needed for the District. The position works under the supervision of the Utility Senior Engineer but is required to operate independently as needed depending on the task.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant experience in water utility operations. Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
Requires four years of engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Requires Engineer in Training (EIT) License. The State of Florida Professional Engineer License is preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida driver's license.
