About the Job
- Research Planning and Execution: Design and execute comprehensive research plans; Employ Human Centered Design Research Methodologies, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, field studies, to gather qualitative and quantitative data
- Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Analyze user data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights; Utilize statistical tools and software for data analysis, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of findings
- Synthesis and Deliverables: Synthesize research findings into clear, concise deliverables, including user personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and other user experience artifacts; Present research findings to stakeholders in a compelling and understandable manner, highlighting key insights and recommendations
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including experience architects, designers, product managers, developers, and marketing teams, to integrate user insights into the product development lifecycle; Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in user research and data analysis; Continuously improve research processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Data Science, Human Factors, or a related field
- Proven experience (3+ years) in user research and data analysis, preferably within a similar industry
- Proficiency in research tools and software such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, NVivo, Excel, or similar
- Strong understanding of various research methodologies and their application
- Excellent analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
- Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex information to diverse audiences
- Experience in creating user personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and other UX deliverables
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Certification in UX Research or Data Analysis
- Experience in the energy or clean technology sector is a plus
- Familiarity with Figma
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
