Job Summary: This individual will serve as a User Experience Designer for the client. The individual will be primarily responsible for the design of new enterprise applications, be responsible for the re-design of other existing web applications developed for the Client and our Supplier community, and supporting shared applications as necessary. The successful individual will be able to lead efforts to gather and translate business strategies, user specific requirements, visual identity guidelines, and development standards into designs that are visually exciting, engaging and easy to use. Other responsibilities include developing a plan to raise user experience competencies to progress client on the UX maturity model.

Bachelor or Masters of Science/Arts or equivalent in Library Science, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related discipline.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform user-centered design and analysis for a wide suite of Business & Engineering applications.
- Translate business requirements, test results, user feedback, and company standards into a user interface solution
- Document process and user flows and site navigation
- Define detailed page-level interactions in documentation in a wide range of media (such as wireframes, comps, interactive prototypes and video)
- Present documentation to business owners, team members, and others
- Conduct usability tests
- Produce graphics and apply defined branding guidelines
- Evaluate emerging UX trends, tools, technologies and maintain a general awareness of the field
- Train and mentor others in key UX design skills, processes and methodologies
- Collaborate with a team of other information architects, developers, researchers and usability specialists to tackle complex projects of varying size
- Ensure development team efforts are in sync with the client's business goals, expectations and budget
- Work closely with our usability team to test and refine designs and prototypes
- Partner with our development team to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation
- Write cross browser compatible front end code (HTML and CSS)
- Develop raise user experience competencies to progress on the UX maturity model.
- 5-7 years of experience in interaction design, information architecture, user interface design, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices.
- Familiarity with advanced UI patterns.
- Proficiency with design tools.
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' industry experience using web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other related technologies.
- Excellent communication skills are essential. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to tailor communication styles to the needs of the team and business partners and demonstrate the ability to confirm understanding before drawing conclusions. Excellent communication and writing skills are required to transfer information to individuals involved in the development process.
- Ability to respond to fluctuating requirements with comfort and ease.
- Must submit a portfolio showcasing projects where candidate participated in a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and apply a UX design process to an existing project methodology.
- Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products
- Knowledge of UX best practices, persona development and responsive design behaviors
- Experience creating functional UI prototypes using Axure or similar tools a plus
- Previous UX/UI experience on Mobile platforms a plus
