Job Summary:
The Used Car Inventory Manager at Renn Kirby Auto Group is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the used car inventory department at our dealership in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Frederick MD. This includes strategically purchasing and trading used vehicles, managing and maintaining inventory levels, and optimizing profitability. The ideal candidate for this full-time, salaried position should have experience in the auto industry and a passion for sales and management.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for purchasing and trading used vehicles to meet dealership sales goals
- Monitor and analyze market trends to make informed decisions about inventory levels and pricing strategies
- Manage and maintain a large inventory of used vehicles, ensuring they are well-presented and in excellent condition for sale
- Work closely with the sales team to provide support and resources for selling used vehicles
- Train and supervise a team of employees in the used car inventory department, providing guidance and support to ensure success
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, sales, and financial transactions
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and service, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
- Monitor and report on performance metrics to senior management
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and make recommendations for improvement and growth of the used car inventory department
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Automotive Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the auto industry, with a background in sales and management
- Strong understanding of market trends and strategies for purchasing and selling used vehicles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Experience managing a team and ability to motivate and develop others
- Knowledge of dealership finance and operations preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
