Who We Need
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced USAF/DoD Service/Maintenance Engineering Consultant to provide expert guidance and support for the planning, execution, and management of USAF/DoD weapon systems maintenance. This role involves working closely with maintenance, logistics, and policy teams to ensure the successful acquisition, sustainment, and fielding of military systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with USAF maintenance operations, systems, and policies, as well as the ability to translate maintenance requirements into technical solutions.
Location: Dayton, Ohio 2-3 days of on site work may be required.

- Lead and manage all aspects of weapon system maintenance planning and execution within USAF/DoD environments.
- Oversee lifecycle logistics and maintenance, including acquisition, sustainment, and fielding of weapon systems.
- Serve as an expert on USAF/DoD Maintenance, providing detailed technical knowledge of USAF policies, technical orders, and maintenance systems.
- Utilize USAF maintenance systems to effectively plan and manage the maintenance of weapon systems.
- Work closely with users, policy owners, and business process modelers to gather maintenance requirements and develop useable Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) requirements.
- Assist in developing technical solutions, including block diagrams and logic flow charts, to support maintenance and logistics processes.
- Apply USAF Maintenance and Logistics policies in acquisition, sustainment, depot, and field operations to optimize maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant USAF policies and procedures.
Your Qualifications
Required
- Associates Degree in Maintenance Engineering; Bachelor's Degree in Maintenance Engineering or a related field preferred.
- 15 years of full-time experience in planning and executing weapon system maintenance.
- Extensive experience with the USAF/DoD maintenance lifecycle, from acquisition through sustainment and fielding.
- Proficient with USAF/DoD Maintenance and Logistics policies, systems, and technical orders.
- Demonstrates ability to work with USAF maintenance systems for weapon system planning and maintenance.
- Ability to gather requirements and translate them into actionable PLM solutions.
- Experience developing block diagrams and logic flow charts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Maintenance Engineering or related field.
