Quality Inspector I (Manufacturing/Quality) 1st Shift

6 Months contract
Pay Rate: $20-29/hr on w2
Unique schedule: Wed-Sat 8:30am-7pm Considered essential personnel and will be required to work holidays. If there is bad weather organization will provide hotel and food for the worker to stay closer to campus. Position opened due to ramp up period but has potential to extend after 6 months. Entry level but would like to see some experience in Sample Receipt, coordinating or in a lab/scientific setting. Must be extremely detail oriented as they will be entering key data. If data is entered incorrectly, it will cause a negative chain reaction and hinder the entire process. This role is also very team oriented. They will be working in a group of 4-5 people and doing hand-offs. Strong communication skills are also a must have. Day in the life: accept morning and evening deliveries. Lift up to 40lbs but not commonly. Between the morning and evening deliveries the workload can be lighter. During this time they may assist other groups with small deliveries, retain disposals, sanitize (using spor-klenz)
Monitor and/or perform inspection and control of products and materials. Perform product and/or component inspections in accordance with specifications and SOPs.
Samples, inspects, and releases components and raw materials as per SOP.s and specifications. Monitors various stages of processing along with the appropriate paperwork in compliance with specifications. Maintains raw materials, in-process and finished goods retain storage areas. May conduct simple testing in accordance with defined standard operating procedures.
Contact with outside vendors as necessary. Filing and archiving study-related documents, including lifting of boxes (25 lbs/11 kg to 40 lbs/18 kg). Demonstrated ability in the application of the requisite skills to perform the required tasks of the position. Receives general instructions on routine assignments under general supervision. Receives detailed instructions on new work, which may be closely supervised and reviewed. Responsibilities include:
" Data entry and filing of laboratory documentation
" Request, maintain and return of logbooks used in the Quality Control Sample Management.
" Performing sample receipt and sample disposal in the Quality Control laboratory
" Coordinates distribution of samples to other laboratories
" Ordering of laboratory supplies
" Manages laboratory reserve samples
" Cleaning and storage of the laboratory glassware
" Effectively demonstrates an understanding of CGMPs and how it applies to specific responsibilities
" Following accurate oral and written procedures for the maintenance of laboratory systems, documentation, and samples
" Ensures laboratory data and samples are effectively maintained
" Updates laboratory database and tracks the completion of various functions required by the Quality Control laboratory
" Works independently under general supervision and direction
" Work in compliance with CGMPs
" Practices safe work habits and adheres to safety procedures and guidelines
Min Education: HS Diploma or GED
" Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
" Must be able to work with Spor-klenz solution, which is used to sanitize equipment following SOP guidelines.
" Position is considered essential personnel and may be required to staff the lab during inclement weather events
" Will work with Chemicals, including: Vesphene & Spor-klenz solution
