Role Overview: As the Trade Marketing Manager for Makeup & Skincare, you will play a pivotal role in growing the Dolce & Gabbana Beauty brand within the highly competitive beauty landscape. Your primary responsibility will be developing and executing trade marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth across our makeup and skincare product lines. You will work with retail partners to enhance in-store and online presence, create engaging in-store & external events, and continuously build strong partnerships that contribute to the expansion and success of the Dolce & Gabbana brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Marketing Strategy for Makeup & Skincare:
Develop and implement trade marketing strategies specifically designed for the makeup and skincare categories to expand brand visibility and accelerate growth across all retailer points of distribution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, and Merchandising) to ensure seamless execution of strategies that support both short- and long-term brand growth.
- In-Store & Online Presence:
Create and execute marketing campaigns that maximize visibility and fuel sales growth for Dolce & Gabbana makeup and skincare products, both in-store and online.
Partner with retailers to optimize product placement, merchandising, and promotional displays in-stores, while also working with digital teams to enhance online brand presence, contributing to brand expansion.
- Brand Events and Consumer Engagement:
Plan and execute high-impact in-store events and external activations focused on makeup and skincare to engage new customers, generate brand excitement, and drive growth.
Propose and develop innovative tools and strategies, ensuring alignment with brand goals and retailer needs to amplify brand presence and capture new market share.
Organize impactful makeup and skincare events for product launches, masterclasses, beauty consultations, and VIP previews that build customer loyalty and elevate the brand's profile.
- Retailer Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong, relationships with key retail partners.
Develop and execute joint marketing initiatives, retailer-specific promotions, and cross-channel activations that contribute to expanding the brand’s presence and increasing market share.
- Market & Consumer Analysis:
Monitor in-store and online trends, as well as the current retail environment in the US market.
Identify trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities within the beauty and fragrance sectors.
Utilize sales data and market insights to refine trade marketing strategies and maximize success within specialty accounts.
- Budget Tracking and Tool Forecasting:
Track and manage budgets for trade marketing initiatives and tool purchases for makeup and skincare categories.
Forecast the need for tools based on sales trends, promotional activities, and market demands within these categories.
Ensure efficient allocation of resources to optimize ROI.
- Brand Advocacy:
Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with Dolce & Gabbana's image.
Oversee the deployment of tools and brand guidelines for activations to field teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in trade marketing or a related role, preferably within the beauty industry, with a strong focus on makeup and skincare.
Strong understanding of the makeup and skincare retail landscape, including department stores, specialty beauty retailers, and e-commerce platforms.
Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external retail partners.
Creative mindset with the ability to propose and implement innovative marketing and event ideas.
Strong project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
