Job Title: Design Engineer II
Pay: Min $47.00/hr, Max $47.00/hr
1st shift
Contract 03 - 06 months and possibility of extension
What You'll Do:
As a Design Engineer II, you will play a critical role in the product development process, contributing to the design and engineering of new products or systems. You will leverage your expertise to develop innovative solutions, conduct analysis and testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs from concept to production.
Functions:
Lead the design and development of new products or systems, from concept to production.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and models of components and assemblies.
Conduct engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), tolerance analysis, and simulation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure design requirements are met.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
Identify and resolve design issues and challenges through troubleshooting and iterative testing.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in product design, engineering, or a related role.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
Strong understanding of engineering principles and design fundamentals.
Experience with engineering analysis tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing technologies.
