- Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope.
- May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
- Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
- Develop, drive and evaluate employee, field or channel communications strategies and programs to drive desired behavior.Understand the communications needs of various internal audiences (i.e., field, senior leaders, HR, first-level managers, all employees) crafting messages that are impactful and lead to desired outcomes.
- Provide employee, field or channel consultancy to recommend best-fit solution to meet marketing or business objective.
- Manage and direct assigned agencies or contractors.Manage functional budgets.
- BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in employee communications, journalism or marketing.
- Solid writing and editing skills - some peer or manager edits typically needed.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.Organization and program management skills.
- Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools and vehicles.
