Sanford Federal is looking for a qualified certified nursing assistant to support the mission of the
Pittsburg VA Healthcare System.
Job Details:
• Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (C.NA)
• Location: VA Hospital H J Heinz Campus at 1010 Delafield Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15215
• Schedule: Full-time.
Requirements & Skills:
• Be a certified nursing assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Be trained and experienced in hospital nursing.
• Have at least one year of experience working as a CNA.
• Be capable of providing nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients.
• Have and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Have no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with the
performance of assigned duties.
• Have documented training and skills verification.
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
• Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
• Providing physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal
hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing,
or exercising.
• Feeding The Patients
• Keeping A Regular Record of Vital Sign
• Set Up Medical Equipment
• Reminding patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
• Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises,
or blood in the urine.
• Observing Changes and Reporting Them to Seniors
• Assist With Medical Procedures
• Help Keep the Environment Clean
