Clarifi Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team!
This role requires a collaborative professional who can partner with parents, caregivers, and staff to create comprehensive educational approaches that meet each student's distinct challenges. The LBS1 Specialist will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address the unique learning needs of students in a self-contained classroom.
Job Summary:
- Promoting positive behavior in the classroom through effective reinforcement strategies.
- Modifying and implementing lesson plans to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
- Creating a classroom atmosphere that is secure, inclusive, and encourages active participation.
- Delivering instruction in essential academic subjects while nurturing growth in social and life skills.
- Establishing open and consistent communication with parents and caregivers to discuss progress and set goals.
- Regularly monitoring student development, keeping thorough documentation, and adjusting teaching approaches to improve outcomes.
Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a comparable role, with specialized knowledge in managing early childhood caseloads. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is a requirement, with preference given to candidates holding a master’s degree. Eligibility for this role mandates an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a special education (LSB1) endorsement, as alternative certifications will not be considered.
