Job Description
We have an exciting, essential role for a USP experienced professional to manage PSS teams supporting cell culture on a client site in the Framingham, MA area. This Manager will need to wear many hats and is expected to lead, participate hands-on, and assist team in cell culture runs as to meet the client timelines. The team supports the development, scale-up, testing and technical transfer of numerous processes and modalities.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience working in upstream small scale and pilot labs
- Experience maintaining and managing lab-based equipment (including coordinating with vendor-supported maintenance)
- Experience with building, set-up and maintenance of small scale and pilot scale bioreactors, including execution of cell culture studies in both small scale and pilot labs
- Adherent cell line experience (including CHO and HEK)
- Technical transfer experience
- Minimum of 2 years of successful independent leadership experience, including team succession planning, developing and managing schedules, establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics
- Proficiency with ELN and Microsoft Suite
- Client service oriented, with effective communication skills
- B.S., 5+ years of experience or M.S. 4+ years of experience or Ph.D., 3+ years of experience plus leadership experience
