About the Job
Solvere Technical Group is seeking an Upper-Level Senior Marine Electrical Engineer to lead and conduct design, analysis, studies, evaluation, and recapitalization of electrical circuits, power monitoring and control systems, electric propulsion, and power generation. Lead and conduct performance studies, and develop reports, drawings or specifications relating to electrical power and generation. Evaluate effect of new or modified electronics on overall system performance. Will work "Onsite" 4 days per/week and 1 day remotely in Baltimore, Maryland.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate effect of new or modified electronics on overall system performance.
Possess knowledge U.S. Navy Power Distribution Architecture.
Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS’s), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC’s).
Possess knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years’ documented experience working in one of the following specialized fields: electric propulsion, machinery control, power generation or distribution systems.
Experience with Government or commercial shipbuilding programs preferred.
1+ year of experience related to federal ship or boat building acquisition
programs required.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Additional certifications, such as PE License, PMP, DHS Systems Engineering
Certification, or DHS Program Management Certifications, preferred.
Experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.
Education:
BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field
of work.
Security:
Must have a Secret Clearance or higher.
Must pass a standard background check.
Place of Performance:
Will work "Onsite" 4 days per/week and 1 day remotely in Baltimore, Maryland.
Baltimore, Maryland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
