Universal Preschool Teachers Assistant - Temple B'nai Or

We are looking for experienced assistant teachers to join our teaching team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. Teachers are contracted for 10 months from Monday to Friday 9:00am to 3:45pm. Staff will have the option to add to their salary by working before/after care and/or summer camp.

Primary Responsibilities

- Work under the direction of the lead teacher in a universal preschool class that is partnered with the Morris School District

- Responsible for the safety and security of the students at all times

- Assist with toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing in accordance with licensing standards

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Assist in making daily observations as per the Creative curriculum

- Gain knowledge of the Teaching Strategies Portal

- Interact and play with children in a positive calm manner

- Attend staff development, meetings and other required trainings for needed professional development hours

- Follow the Creative Curriculum Guidelines and Expectations

Requirements

- High school diploma/GED

- CDA or bachelor's in education preferred

- First Aid /CPR certified, if not willing to get it within 90 days of employment

- At least 1 year experience working in preschool/childcare setting

- Experience with Creative Curriculum a plus

-Spanish speaking a plus

Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma. An CDA, associates or bachelors degree is preferred.
